Mr. Mike Andrus - Professional Security Biography

Mr. Mike is currently on assignment, hired as Director of Executive Protection for a 30-billion-dollar corporation. Mr. Andrus also provides concierge and facilities management services for this client. In August of 2023, Mr. Mike created, presented, and recorded his “Employee Travel Safety Program”, “LATAM Travel Safety Program”, “Active Assailant Preparedness Training”, “Situational Awareness Training”, “Workplace Violence Preparedness Program”, “Women’s Safety Best Practices Program”, “Earthquake and Tsunami Preparedness Program”, “Hurricane Preparedness” programs for his current client. These programs were recorded in a town hall presentation and are available for all employees. The client may offer these programs to their customers as a value-added proposition in addition to their underwriting insurance programs. Mr. Andrus travels to client locations after security breaches or threats and trains the on-site employees/contractors in that area. Mr. Mike also works closely with local public safety. Mr. Mike has been asked to assist in drafting their global security standards and guidelines policy. Mr. Andrus is currently in discussion with a US-based airline and a well-known major international airline to utilize his de-escalation program which will provide training for their gate agents and flight crews around the world.

Mike has achieved LFI (Lethal Force Institute) Level 1, taught privately. Mike has been an instructor for the World Karate Elite fighting system. Mike is a lethal weapons agent (Act 235) in Pennsylvania, Class D and G Security License in Florida and is a cyber-security advisor for the Federal Agents PBA. Mike also does executive and celebrity protection. Mike provides bodyguard services as #1 agent and driver for Mr. Jake Tapper, CNN’s top political anchor. Mr. Tapper specifically requested Mr. Mike to be his #1 agent for his New York Times #1 Best-seller book signing and lecture tour. Mr. Mike is also an armed bodyguard for CNN/Turner Security protecting their lead anchors during hostile live events. Mr. Andrus is often contracted by Secure Source, one of the most prestigious global physical security firms in the world. Mike provides high level security in hostile environments. Mr. Mike has acted as director of executive protection for multiple celebrities in the US and abroad. Mike’s team has worked closely with the Secret Service providing security services for the President of Lithuanian on his visit to Philadelphia. He has been director of security for a high-end supper and night club and security advisor/trainer for the top night club (Aura at Atlantis) in the Bahamas. Mike teaches law enforcement and military tactical training to multiple agencies including the DOD.

Mike continues to be selected as the only self-defense demo at the Defense Logistics Agency DOD annual event starting in 2017 with over 3,400 attendees. Mr. Mike was selected as the bodyguard for the 5 living Chiefs of the Lenape Indians Delaware Nation for a once in a lifetime reunion in Pennsylvania for the reinternment of the remains of the Indian Chiefs from the 1600’s. This event was in April of 2022. The famous museum artifact, “The Wampum Belt” was delivered by armored car and was under the watchful eye of Mr. Mike and his agents on display at this one-day historical event.

Mr. Mike is currently providing celebrity protection for Christian “The Hurricane” Thun, a WBA (World Boxing Association) heavy-weight title contender, for a 4-fight series in 2024. He provided security at the Hard Rock Live arena inside the world-famous Hard Rock Hotel and Casino (The Guitar) in Hollywood, Florida for the Main event. Mike was the Director of Security and CP (Close Protection) for a private victory party (400 invited guests) at the G7 Rooftop Lounge at the magnificent Wyndam Dolce Hotel in Hollywood, FL. hosted by Christian for his guests.
